Purpose of the organization: to provide services in the field of environmental protection and rehabilitation through the implementation of ecological restoration projects as well as educational and scientific research activities.

Areas of Activity: 

1. Scientific Research focused on environmental protection and improvement, cultural heritage, and tourism development.  Scientific activities may include ecological monitoring, scientific conferences, seminars, «round tables» and international expeditions;

2. Providing environmental education and cultural exchange opportunities for children and adults (including both citizens of Russia and of foreign countries) independently or in cooperation with other environmental organizations, educational-scientific centers, universities, official bodies and private persons;

3. Promoting professional development opportunities for experts in the sphere of environmental preservation, cultural heritage, and tourism (distribution of information, education, and providing opportunities for organized field work and expeditions for Russian and foreign students and researchers);

4. Assistance in creation and writing of the methodical, scientific literature in the fields of ecology and environmental protection, cultural heritage, and tourism;

5. Supporting the activities of local communities in protection of their rights to a healthy environment and to meet the challenges of sustainable development;

6. Supporting state and municipal authorities as well as commercial businesses and nonprofit organizations who are working on the development and implementation of social, cultural, educational projects, programs and other environmental protection measures; likewise, to provide support to individuals who are implementing programs and activities (conferences, seminars, training ) in the same field.

7. Engaging in fundraising activities to support the achievement of the purposes of the organization, by soliciting financial assets from a diverse range of sources including  Russian and foreign commercial and noncommercial organizations and individuals;

8. Assistance in the preservation and restoration of objects (including buildings, structures) and territories having historical, religious, cultural or nature protection value, and places of burial;

9. Support of voluntary initiatives in the sphere of environmental preservation and cultural heritage;

10. Development of ecological tourism;

11. Creation of Internet resources and a database aimed at facilitating interaction between organizations of different levels in the field of ecology and environmental protection, cultural heritage, and tourism.

12. Development and Implementation of formalized continuing education programs for adults, including issuance of standardized certificates of completion, training courses, subjects, and disciplines (modules) of continuing education programs.
